Asthma Clinics

Under taken by our  practice nurses, these clinics are for monitoring Asthmatics, treatment advice etc. They are held every day at Gateacre Brow and Wednesday and Thursday at Hunts Cross.

COPD (Emphysema) Clinics

Run by our Nurses.

TIA/Stroke Clinics

Run by our Nurses

Diabetic Clinics

Under taken by our practice nurses, Gill Bertie, and Kristina Wetherall. These clinics monitor and support the needs of those patients with Diabetes.

Child Health Surveillance Clinics

Undertaken by the Doctors. These clinics are for routine developmental checks. They are not for seeing ill children.

Well Woman Clinics

Ran by our practice nurses. These clinics offer cervical smear testing usually for over 25's, breast screening advice, sexual health information and menopausal guidance.

Ante Natal Clinics

This takes place at Belle Vale Children's Centre please telephone on 0151 233 1705.

Family Planning

Contraceptive advice is available from the Doctors or nurses during their surgery sessions. Further advice can be obtained from ABACUS, Tel 0151-247-6500. Please see our Sexual Health information for what is available in practice.  

Immunisations and Vaccinations

The practice undertakes all adult and childhood vaccinations at both surgeries. This includes the annual Influenza and the once in a lifetime Pneumonia vaccination. Those patients in nursing and residential homes, together with those at particular risk are automatically offered these vaccinations by the Doctors and Nurses.  

Heart Clinic

These undertake the screening and surveillance of treatment of those patients with angina and heart attacks. The clinics are run by our Practice Nurses.  

Travel Vaccinations

The practice offers comprehensive service of travel vaccinations, and advice on avoiding illness while abroad. Some vaccinations are chargeable. Speak to reception for advice on what travel vaccinations practice does provide. 

Minor Surgery

We offer excisions and joint injections. An appointment is necessary.

Private Medical Examinations

Can be arranged by appointment with the Doctors. A fee is payable and depends on time availability of the GP.
